eLearning Facilitation Certification Course

Teaching an online course requires a different approach than teaching face-to-face.  The Center for eLearning and Connected Enviornments has developed the eLearning Facilitation Workshop to enable instructors to successfully encounter the unique challenges of online instruction. The certification course is required to TEACH or DESIGN an online or hybrid course.

How to Become a UCO Certified Online Instructor

Faculty requesting to register for the eLearning Facilitation Certification Course should do the following:

  • Review the "Upcoming Dates" section below and identify which workshop best fits your schedule. On average, the workshops are 6 weeks in length and require 2-3 hours per week of dedicated time by the participants.

  • Contact your Department Chair and request to be nominated.

  • Your Department Chair will need to complete the Facilitation Nomination Form and submit it to CeCE. (Please note, the Banner ID of the Faculty member must be included on the nomination form.)

Upon receipt of your nomination form, a member of the CeCE team will contact you with details regarding how and when to access the workshop course site.
